Winery

Take a ride down US 25 and out in the country and enjoy a wine tasting at City Scape Winery. We are located in the Southwest part of Greenville County at 589 Dunklin Bridge Road in Pelzer, SC. It is Greenville County’s only winery and one of only a handful in the entire state of South Carolina. Your hosts are Wayne and Anita Tamme, the owners and winemakers. As a point of reference, it is about 15 miles from Greenville and 7 miles from Simpsonville.

City Scape is considered a small batch winery which means it produces wines 6 to 50 gallons at a time. This allows great flexibility in the wine offerings and the ability to produce seasonal wines. You will find sweeter, lighter wines in the summer and the more traditional ones in the cooler months. Currently the wines are made from juice that is a combination of fruits and grapes purchased locally and from around the state. This is supplemented by juices that cannot be grown commercially in South Carolina.

Vineyard

We would like to thank our hungry maintenance crew, Bucky, Lucky, Baby and our newest addition, Bambi. For the last year they have been busy doing site preparation by clearing, trimming and fertilizing the fields.

And, as a result of their efforts the first phase of the vineyard has been planted. It is one half acre of muscadine vines, a combination of Noble (red) and Carlos (white) grapes. They should begin bearing usable fruit in 2011. The next phase will consist of an additional one and one half acres.

Tastings

Our Federal and State licenses and permits allow us to both manufacture and sell our wine. Everything we sell we produce on site.

We offer wine tastings and small group gatherings on-site.

In addition we can provide our unique wines at your event.

Custom Labels

In addition, we offer custom labels for your special event. Whether it is a birthday party, wedding or corporate gift, City Scape can design and print labels to make any occasion special.
