Policies and Procedures
Wine Sales
We do not sell wine over the Internet or telephone. It is difficult to verify age. We do encourage you to visit our facility and enjoy a tasting.
Method of Payment
We always accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. On site at the retail store we will also accept cash and personal checks. In addition, for on-line orders we will accept personal checks and money orders on a “prepay” basis.
Out of Stock Items
Even though we do carry a wide inventory selection of equipment, chemicals and juice, and make every attempt to do so, we can not guarantee that we will have every item in stock at any given time. If we are out of stock or do not have sufficient quantity on hand to fill your order, we will contact you before processing your order. You can then decide to:
- Let us order the non-stock item(s) and ship separately
- Let us order the non-stock item(s) and hold the order and ship as one
- Modify your order to exclude the item(s)
- Cancel the order.
The order will not be processed until it has been discussed with you.
Generally it takes between 3-5 business days to order and receive from our vendors.
Special Order Items
There are many other wine and beer making equipment and kits that are available that we do not routinely carry in inventory. We would be happy to provide a competitive quote for any item. There is no additional charge for special order items.
Shipping Costs
This probably the most often asked question. Juice kits are heavy and glass items are breakable.
Our shipping rates are based upon the combined weight of the items ordered. We charge a base rate of $1.00 plus $0.90 per pound or fraction thereof. Lighter weight shipments generally go via the US Postal Service and heavier items via Federal Express Ground or UPS Ground. Please note that the latter two will only deliver to a physical address and not a PO Box.
In addition, there is a $3.50 surcharge on any orders containing glass items such are bottles and carboys.
Return Policy
We will return the full purchase price if any item is defective or shipped incorrectly. Items must be in the original packaging and unused. We must be notified within 10 business days of an issue.
